Shameless self-promotion?

Not exactly (although not completely false either).
The truth is i visited a litterally obscure part of this world, underground, feet and feet underneath Paris buildings and roads, walking in long dark corridors, with a feeling that i was 1) in a Hollywood movie, and 2) about to get murdered by Elijah Wood in his Sin City manner.
What does this have to do with self-promotion, you will rightfully ask?
Well, precisely nothing. I forgot my camera that day, and so have no photo to show you what i'm amongst the rare ones to have been able to see.
So instead, all you will have is a bite of Leo Valls, which, let's be honest, is almost as good.

Have i ever lied to you?

Ok, well, yes, once, in 2003, but it was for your own good, and it's off the subject anyway, so let's all get over it and dive straight into the miraculous fabulosity that this post is going to be.
Wait, what was it supposed to be about?
Oh yes, that Ambiguous Hot Water Bottle Exhibition that i took part in, as shown in a previous entry.
All the Hot Water Bottles will be exposed in Paris this month, in two separate art shows, as explained on the flyers below.

(The most attentive of you all will have noticed that they mispelled my name, while the least attentive of you all are probably still busy noticing the birth of the internet).

Anyway, if you happen to be around, you are more than welcomed to come enjoy the show, and if you happen to not be around, well, you still have a couple days to purchase a plane ticket. See you saturday.

Lucky you...the time has come.

So. Here we are.
After litterally drowning under thousands of complaint letters from desperate lady fans -consisting mainly of my mom- willing to know about my every eyelash movement (in the form of one email reading : "Sourya, i hope you are not still wasting your time and the world's ink on stupid drawings and that you have decided to get a normal job. Oh, and please eat some fruits. Love, mom"), i have decided that, yes, it was finally time that i make progress with my life, that i stop being so selfish and irresponsible, and that i start doing what i can to try and make this world a better place to live for everyone : namely, start this blog.
Don't thank me.
Now, what to start it with is a good question, since my life is filled with so many crazy events happening one after the other from dawn to dusk : waking up late morning, at around 3pm, wondering what day it is, taking a nap, having coffee...i could go on and on, but i will do you a favour and stop this list here. Didn't i tell you i was getting more responsible?

As a matter of fact, i can't show you what i am currently working on -partly because i am working on new Magenta Skateboard graphics (for those of you who have been hiding in a cave, or that have been hiding anywhere outside of MY cave, in the past 5 months, Magenta is the skateboard company i am doing the art direction for, as you can see here:

)(yes, there was an opened parentheses, and i happen to be very rigorous) and some illustrations for t-shirts graphics for a Belgian designer, both projects for which i can't spoil the surprise; and partly because my work, over the course of the summer, can pretty much be summed up by...well, by this picture:

So, humm, yeah, anyway.

I will instead indulge in shameless self-promotion and show you two little Magenta video edits from a 5 day trip to Germany.
If after that, you don't decide to invest the entirety of your life savings in our products, then i don't know anything about marketing.
Which, to be very honest with you, wouldn't surprise me all that much.

Bouil' Hot Water Bottles.

I'm running out of time, so i'll make this one short. But here are some photos from a recent collaboration with french artist Chloe Mazlo for Ambiguous Clothings "Bouil' Hot Water Bottle" exhibition, for which i will give you more info in a later post.
All in good time my friends, all in good time.
